Its shaping to be a busy year, 2011. From January 27th to March, Frontline will be contributing to a show by Carpentaria and Arts Access Darwin at the Chan Contemporary Art Space. The show, The Secret Life of Bowerbirds, will feature sound and light work by Frontline. We will also be at the Merge Festival at Charles Darwin University,12-19 February; we will do workshops and presentations with our Laser TAG, Tagtool, and possibly introduce work using the Kinect; we will also introduce the iBand -- a band playing iPhones and iPads -- at Merge. In March, we may contribute to another show at the Chan featuring graffiti. We also start our own six-month project st the Chan that features projections, immersive environments, live digital drawing and animation, and works that connect events inside the Chan with the outside of the building. The March shows will see us deploy LED Throwies, Laser TAG, Tagtool, Kinect-based work, and the introduction of some Augmented Reality (AR) works. By July, we hope to start staging events with highlight Darwin Harbour as artspace as well as thematic inspiration, which will continue for the rest of the year. More things are in the pipeline. Watch this space!
